When someone pays for a membership, they own that membership! When that membership is applied to an account, the person that bought the membership now owns your account. You may argue that the jammer who created the account owns the account, but then how would parents change their parent account email? You need a membership to prove your ownership of an account.
So if you used a membership bought by someone else...
- In Play Wild, a membership gives Jammers daily Sapphires and weekly gifts. In Animal Jam, members get access to amazing animals, awesome dens, and so much more.
- The animal jam sent out an email stating that all their 3 month cards that you purchase in the store like target,walmart ( even online purchase ) and game stop will now come with the 10 diamonds. I purchased one last month and my son was able to go to the diamond shop.

That doesn't mean they will do anything bad with it! Lots of very nice people give membership codes away. But just as many not-so-well-meaning people give them away as well. Do you know of well known jammers who have had their accounts 'removed from their parent account' or 'stolen' from them? That's because they accepted a membership from another player.
Sadly, without AJHQ's permission and assistance, we won't be able to provide free membership code giveaways.
However! Animal Jam has recently introduced two ways to obtain a free membership, which we’ve written about here.
Animal Jam and Play Wild are both free to play games. Many Jammers play the game on a daily basis. However, there are a lot of features locked behind a membership. For instance, many animals are members-only. If you want to create your own Pack on AJPW, you also need to be a member. That is why many Jammers decide to become a member. They want access to everything that AJ and PW have to offer. Let’s take a closer look at the Play Wild membership.
AJPW Membership Benefits
Let’s take a look at some of the Membership Benefits that you get when you buy a Play Wild Membership. First of all, you will get 5 Sapphires a day, for free! This will continue, every day until your membership expires. You will also receive weekly gifts, exclusively for members. As a member, you will also receive double the amount of Gems that you’d normally earn.
Your membership also includes daily Diamond bonuses, member-only avatars, member-only accessories, member-only parties, members-only dens and more, on Animal Jam. As always, you will be able to make friends, play games to earn Gems and receive help from others.
How to Get a Play Wild Membership
There are a number of ways to get a membership on Play Wild. You can buy a membership by going to the Animal Jam Membership page or by going to the app store on your phone. You can also click on the Pack Icon, which redirects you to the membership purchase page, or by simply buying it in the Sapphire Shop. There are several things to keep in mind before buying a PW membership.
If you buy a membership on the Animal Jam Membership Page, you will have three choices; 1 Month recurring, 6 months recurring or 12 months one-time payment. Recurring means that your membership will automatically renew itself, unless you stop it manually. Each of these memberships will also reward you with Diamonds for AJ, Sapphires for PW and Gems that can be used on both games.
You can also buy a PW membership directly through the app store on your phone. The max length of a membership bought on the app store is 1 month, but is also recurring. So if you don’t want a Play Wild membership anymore, you will have to manually stop it at the app store.
If you rather do not have recurring payments, you can also buy a Play Wild membership by using your Sapphires. This is probably the easiest way, since you don’t have to worry about any additional costs if you forget to manually stop your membership.
Membership on both Play Wild and Animal Jam
It should be noted that, even though Animal Jam and Play Wild are separate, memberships count on both games. To give an example, if you bought a membership on Play Wild, you will also have a membership on Animal Jam. This also works the other way around. It also means that you will be able to benefit from all exclusive items and gifts on both platforms!
Animal Jam was released way before Play Wild was. If you play both games, you will notice that one game has some features that the other one doesn’t, and vice versa. For instance, creating your own Pack can only be done on PW. This is why it’s great that memberships are includes in both AJ and AJPW.
